Hi community whanau,
I reckon I'm full of great motivational hunting phrases 😅 You ain't going to catch anything sitting on the couch!" "It aint over till the fat lady sings" or the classic "everyday is a great day on the hill." I guess that sums me up, cup half full type. The buzz of hunting for wild game came on late for me, a late bloomer you could say. Single mum with three young kids at home, it was up to me to bring home the bacon.
Good quality meat also came with a pricetag attached and I needed some "me time" plus a little more exercise to balance out my indoor retail job. I set out with no knowledge of hunting, a dog phobia and a sedan for a car 🙄 In the end I bred and trained my own packs of dogs, caught a few pigs, put meat in the freezer and now own my second hilux! I never claim to know it all, that would be foolish 🤔 and now days I prefer the easier slipper hunts or on the end of a rifle, nevertheless, once it's in the blood, it's hard to shake and so round two has just kicked off with a couple more pups and a partner mad keen on getting amongst it.
I hope you meet, chew the fat, and establish some great contacts with fellow hunters and together I look forward to supporting our community with what I say is "the best meat out there!" 🤗
Thankyou thankyou thankyou for being a part of this great intuitive from Wahine Outdoors!

Kia ora! My love for the outdoors is more than just a hobby; it's a way of life. I believe, being outdoors and providing for the whānau is good for the soul.
Hunting is a tradition I cherish deeply. Only something learned in adult life, as growing up my dad did mostly trapping small game and tanning skins. We farmed pigs so there wasn’t a need to go hunt them. Had sheep, chooks and ducks, and a mean as vegetable garden, always plenty of food right in our backyard.
As a family, we would travel to Motueka quite frequently and collect cockles and rock oysters, this was my favourite as I loved the beach and got a taste for seafood 🤤
As years go by, fishing and diving has become my preferred pastime. There's something uniquely tranquil about being on the water, the gentle sway (sometimes 🤢) of a boat and the anticipation of a catch.
Each fishing trip is a new story, filled with its own set of surprises and lessons. This pursuit requires a blend of skill, knowledge, and intuition, which I find incredibly fulfilling.
While I may have found my niche in fishing and diving, I still embrace the hunting missions with the whānau.
I'm looking forward to helping families put more food on the table, so make sure you fill in the contact list form to be notified of whats available! We are also looking for more people to join the team, so if this interests you, let's chat!
Happy days!

“Hi! We are Mark and Hannah, the father - daughter duo behind Kelly’s Homekill and Butchery.
We are a very outdoorsy family and have always been into hunting, fishing and making the most of our catch. That’s a big part of why we love what we do with the butchery.
We process people’s own animals or wild game they have caught— whether that’s a deer, sheep, pig or beef (even an alpaca once!) — and turn it into the bacon, mince, sausages, steaks or whatever products they want for their freezers. We do everything from the killing and processing right through to the finished meat, so people can have confidence in where their food has come from and how it’s been handled.
We’re a hands-on, family-run business and we take a lot of pride in putting out good quality meat. We’re always trying to improve what we do and get the best possible product to as many people as we can.
We’re really excited to be working with Wāhine Outdoors and getting to share a bit of what we do, as well as our love for hunting, fishing, the outdoors and good kai!
Can’t wait!”
